“Direction of light”

New York based photographer Andrew French will take us to a full-day workshop in two parts, in which we will be exploring the impact of the direction of light for portraiture, using the “lighting wheel”. We will do so for natural light as well as in the studio.

In morning, we will be using natural light to see how the direction of light influences the atmosphere and rendering of an image. We will use the old Zurich botanical garden as a location and we will be shooting with two models with a focus on portraiture and high fashion. In the second part we will work on the direction of light for figure studies, in the studio working in two small groups
