Join us for a walk around the countryside of the Frick valley to photograph the blossoming cherry trees along the Fricktaler Chriesiwäg (or Kirschenweg in high German).

Meeting outside the Gemeindekanzlei Gipf-Oberfrick (Landstrasse 43, 5073 Gipf-Oberfrick) we will walk approximately 4.5km around the valley. Bring your favourite camera (and lenses), appropriate clothing for the weather, walking shoes and drinks and snacks as necessary. Walking is on paths with ~130m of ascent and descent and the difficulty level is “easy”.

The event is somewhat weather and season dependent (to have the best flowers on the trees). As the event is outdoors, in case of severe wet weather, there is a risk of cancellation at short notice, but we will keep you informed.

There is very little parking in the village of Gipf-Oberfrick. We recommend you arrive by public transport. Trains from Zürich to Frick include the IR36 which is the fatest service at ~47minutes, or the S12 and you can then either take Bus 136 to Gipf-Oberfrick, alte Post which takes about 3 minutes and walk back a few metres, or walk the approximately 1km from Frick station to the Gemeindekanzlei.
