Come and enjoy the experience of Park Seleger Moor and photograph its blooming rhododendrons and diverse wildlife including birds, amphibians and insects. On this photowalk you can join a group of photographers as we visit this nature park a short distance from Zurich.
You should bring:
- Your preferred camera and a selection of lens from wideangle to telephoto
- Suitable walking shoes
- Water and food (this is an on-site café selling snack food and a stand with drinks, ice creams and cakes). There are also public grills, it is possible to barbecue food.
Getting there:
- By train from Zurich HB, take the S5 to Zug at 09:39 arriving at Alfoltern am Albis at 10:07 and change to bus 223 at 10:10, alighting at Rifferswil, Seleger Moor at 10:24
- By car, the car park is on Seleger-Moor Strasse, exact coordinates are 47.24565646772229, 8.505025788494866
Meeting up:
We will meet close to the Park entrance, look for a group of people with cameras if you are new to the group. I will try to bring a “PICZ” sign. You will need to buy an entry ticket. The normal adult price is CHF18 if pre-purchased online or CHF20 at the gate.
This event is open to members and non-members of PICZ, but please register so we know who to expect. It will take place except in the worst of weather. The colours of the plants are actually enhanced by the rain so it would be only be cancelled in the event of severe weather such as thunderstorms/high winds or hail.
